Get stocked up for National Baking Week

Pyrex National Baking Week will take place this year from October 17-23.

Pyrex founded National Baking Week back in 2007 with like-minded baking brands. The aim of the campaign is to encourage people to stock up on baking equipment and enjoy some ‘homemade family time’ by baking together at home.

The housewares supplier said October has become ‘the’ baking month in the UK during recent years due to awareness raised by Pyrex National Baking Week, coupled with the increasing popularity of television shows such as BBC series ‘The Great British Bake Off’.

The website at www.nationalbakingweek.co.uk includes recipes, tips and suggestions for baking equipment.

Pyrex says its bakeware collection encompasses ‘everything budding bakers need to get going this October’ – from Classic borosilicate glass prepware to its Asimetria collection of non-stick metal bakeware, which has been extended ‘to reflect the ever-adventurous nation of Mary Berry wannabes’.

The new Asimetria offering includes a brownie pan which embosses lines on the bake to ensure 15 perfect portions, a mini layered cake tin for afternoon tea treats and also a hollow centre cake tray. Each product is crafted from 0.4mm carbon steel and has a 10 year guarantee.
