Further boost to What More UK’s export business

Housewares supplier What More UK has announced three additions to its list of export countries.

Singapore, Madagascar and Austria are the latest countries set to receive exports from the Lancashire-based manufacturer and distributor of plastic housewares.

What More UK’s product portfolio comprises more than 700 lines, including a huge range of plastic storage boxes bearing its Wham brand. These latest exports encompass the wide range of What More UK’s household products.

Tony Grimshaw OBE, director of What More UK, said: “Our ever-growing list of export markets has now reached 66 countries, with the recent addition of Singapore, Madagascar and Austria.

“It’s testament to the hard work of our staff that our international business is growing all the time. We’re now exporting our British-made products to one-third of the world, making them available to around two-thirds of the population. That makes the whole company very proud.”

What More UK’s global exports account for around 15% of its turnover. The company only began exporting its plasticware in 2008, after first establishing a strong business supplying retailers across the UK.

Its international success was given a royal seal of approval in 2014 with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. And earlier this month director Tony Grimshaw was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, with an OBE for his work in international export trade.
