Paton Calvert appeared at Spring Fair with new owners, a revitalised product range and a commitment to maintain a dominant position in the bakeware market.

Fresh start, fresh products at Paton Calvert

In June last year the 100-year-old business was taken over by Paul Lawson and Jeff Salt (left and right in picture), whose fulfilment company, Pickit and Packit, had handled the logistics of Paton Calvert for some time.

The new owners have committed to investing £100,000 in new manufacturing equipment for bakeware and new factories in China have been commissioned to handle the majority of the production.

The result is a revitalisation of the core brands Just Cook, Harvest Bright, Silver Star and the Professional range, and nine new lines. The Cool Cook silicone bakeware collection also has a fresh look. Red has been replaced by orange, blue and bright pink, and the extended 16-strong range is supported by a matching kitchen tool range including spoon, turner, masher, pastry brush and spatulas.

Paton Calvert is also now creating value multi-packs to customers’ specifications for Easter and Christmas promotions.
