The housewares supplier said: ‘Since receiving the news that we would be leaving the EU, we have been hard at work creating a plan to ensure that Brexit goes as smoothly as possible for us and our customers.
‘We now want to take this opportunity to share our plan with you. The main objective of our plan is to safeguard not only us, but also our customers and our brands. In order to do this, we are urging customers to forward order through our website. This order can be placed with us now and scheduled for months in advance. This strategy will allow us to manage stock expectation and ensure that we have availability on all product lines.
‘Our aim is to help bring certainty to our trade customers and cement the cost for their businesses, during a period of time rife with uncertainty.’
Customers that place a forward order of over £700 by March13 will be given a set of six ‘commemorative’ Brexit Brit Bowls by Sagaform as a thank you. The bowls are described as ‘a great and rather topical way of serving your guests this summer at barbecues and parties’.
The stoneware bowls measure 22cm x 36cm and are priced at £22 (inc. VAT). Gift-boxed, and oven- and dishwasher-safe, they include a paper insert in the middle which comes out of the bowl during use.
Forma House business development manager Simon Maghnagi explained: “There was a lot of talk from retailers [about Brexit] and we wanted to be one of the first to come out and say what we are doing. The Brexit Bowl is actually a bowl that we already have in our range called The Brit Bowl, but we’ve renamed it slightly into something a little lighthearted.”
