Five cookbooks feature in top 10 hardback best sellers chart

Five cookbooks appear in the ‘The Mail On Sunday’ list of the top 10 best-selling non-fiction hardbacks, published on August 9 is the newspaper’s ‘Event’ magazine.

Co-judge of BBC1’s ‘The Great British Bake Off’ series Mary Berry is in fifth place with ‘Mary Berry’s Absolute Favourites’. In this tie-in to Mary’s recent BBC series, she reveals the secrets of her favourite food. Featuring all the recipes from the show, the collection of over 100 dishes also contains Mary’s favourite Christmas recipes.

Seventh position is taken by food blogger Ella Woodward with ‘Deliciously Ella’. Her book contains more than 100 natural, plant-based, dairy-free and gluten-free recipes.

‘Rick Stein: From Venice to Istanbul’ by Rick Stein is in eight place. Accompanying the BBC2 series of the same name, it includes more than 100 recipes discovered by the celebrity chef, restaurateur and TV presenter during his travels in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

‘Great British Bake Off: Celebrations’ by Linda Collister is at number nine. This summer tie-in to the sixth series, currently airing weekly on BBC1, features recipes by the show’s judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, and from this year’s contestants.

‘Get the Glow’ by first-time author Madeleine Shaw is in tenth place. It aims to shows the reader that ‘eating well can easily become a way of life, resulting in the hottest, healthiest and happiest you’. It contains 100 wheat- and sugar-free recipes and includes a six-week plan and advice on kitchen cupboard essentials and eating out.
