Fenwick’s Bracknell department store opens this week

Fenwick will unveil its ‘new concept’ department store in Bracknell on Thursday (September 7).

The 80,000sq ft store will open in the new Lexicon development: a 1 million sq ft shopping and leisure destination in the pedestrianised centre of the Berkshire town. It will be one of the Lexicon’s flagships alongside Waitrose and Marks & Spencer.

The branch houses three floors of Home, Beauty, Fashion and Kids. It also features a denim studio and shoe emporium, as well as a new toy department – and a new homeware department.

On opening day, customers will receive a limited edition exclusive Home goodie bag worth £150, when they spend £300 or more on Bed & Bath or Cook & Dine.

Fenwick said: ‘But it’s not just great fashion and beauty brands. We will also be launching a whole new restaurant concept. We relaunched our Newcastle store’s food hall in 2015, and it’s been a huge hit with our customers. So when planning out our eateries for Bracknell we thought ‘why not bring the best of Newcastle to Bracknell?’ and that’s exactly what we’ve done.’

The store will include Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar Fuego, and bakery and patisserie Mason + Rye, plus a wine room offering local and international wines, spirits and beers.

In 2001 Fenwick acquired the Bentalls group of stores and retains the branches in Kingston-upon-Thames in Surrey and Bracknell.

The current Fenwick store in Bracknell has continued to operate as Bentalls Bracknell while the retailer transitions to the new site.
