Fearne Cotton’s cookbook climbs to third place in best-selling book chart

Fearne Cotton’s new title is the only cookbook in the top 10 of ‘The Mail on Sunday’s’ list of best-selling non-fiction hardback books.

The television and radio presenter’s debut title, ‘Cook Happy, Cook Healthy’, has jumped one place in the last week from number three to number two in the chart.

The book is billed as ‘full of easy, fast and healthy recipes for everything from breakfast and speedy suppers to baked treats. With an eye to food bills and time-poor households, the ingredients are easy to buy and few in number, and the methods very simple’. Dishes include Quick Granola, Courgette Fritters with Herby Yoghurt Dip, Halloumi and Roasted Beetroot Salad, and Almond and Apricot Biscuits.

Three cookbooks also appear in the list of best-selling non-fiction paperback books.

At number one is ‘Lean In 15’ by Joe Wicks. Known as the Body Coach, Joe reveals how to shift body fat by eating more and exercising less. The title features 100 recipes and guides the reader through Joe’s home workouts.

In third place is ‘The Hairy Dieters: Fast Food’ by celebrity cookery duo Si King and Dave Myers, which contains low-calorie recipes designed to be made in under 30 minutes. There are recipes for breakfast and brunch, soups, salads, mains and snacks, including Spicy Sweetcorn Fritters, Pasta with Chilli Prawns, Chicken Tagine and Instant Sorbet with Frozen Berries.

The fifth spot is held by ‘The 8-Week Blood Sugar Diet’ by Michael Mosley. In the book, the author of the bestselling ‘5:2 Fast Diet’ reveals ‘a game-changing approach to one of the greatest silent epidemics of our time: raised blood sugar levels’. The title is not just aimed at those at highest risk but at anyone who has struggled with their weight and wants to regain control of their health.

This list appeared in ‘The Mail on Sunday’s’ ‘Event’ magazine on June 19. The book charts are compiled by Nielsen Bookscan TCM, which collates real time sales from over 6,500 retailers, representing over 90% of the UK book market.
