Fast turnaround for What More UK

What More UK is celebrating after achieving a speedy turnaround on a bespoke bakeware order.

A major grocery multiple recently visited the Lancashire premises of the housewares supplier, which manufactures Wham Cook bakeware. On its wish list were 65,000 units of a non-stick product not currently available in the Wham Cook range.

But after touring the facility, the chain immediately placed an order. What More UK director Tony Grimshaw OBE said: “Clearly this retailer was impressed by what they saw. Our state-of-the-art tool room got straight into gear engineering a bespoke mould for the product – and in just eight working days we were ready to go into production.

“This is a fine example of how What More UK has the expertise and the capability to manufacture to our customers’ specifications to give them exactly what they want.”

The Wham Cook bakeware products will soon be on their way to stores and stocked in the kitchenware aisles.

What More UK diversified into bakeware in 2014. Today the business produces a range of Wham Cook non-stick and vitreous enamel bakeware at its purpose-built facility in Altham, close to Burnley.

In addition to Wham Cook, the company now manufactures bakeware for retailers’ own-brand ranges. A complementary range of Wham Cook utensils and kitchen gadgets is also available.

What More UK is also a leading manufacturer of plastic homewares with a portfolio of more than 700 plastic housewares, gardening and DIY products sold under the Wham brand.
