Falcon Products triumphed at the recent Housewares Innovation Awards, with its Bake-O-Glide Induction Hob Protector winning the Kitchenware Innovation category.
Following the event, which was held at the NCC in Birmingham on February 3, Falcon Products managing director Gary Downham expressed his delight at the news.
He said: “Since our family business was established almost 30 years ago, our Bake-O-Glide brand has been at the heart of Falcon Products’ portfolio and we continually strive to enhance the brand and its offering with new and innovative products.
“We added the Induction Hob Protector to the brand last year as part of a wider launch and it has proved to be an outstanding success, widely gaining praise for being truly innovative and an exceptional, practical product. This accolade makes our hard work, vision and product development all so worthwhile.”
The Induction Hob Protector creates a protective surface between cookware and the hob to prevent scratches, scuffs and marks without affecting functionality, as long as the correct cookware is used on the correct zones.
The non-stick, heat-resistant (up to 250°C) silicone coating also helps to reduce movement of pots and pans, whilst the design still allows for touch controls to be seen and used through the hob protector.
Falcon Products also distributes European brands Marcato, We Love Pasta and Pulltex.
