Roberts Radio has taken a novel approach to choosing the colour of its next Revival DAB portable radio.
The company said: ‘First introduced in the 1950s, Revival’s much-loved retro design remains the same but the technology constantly evolves, so fans have the design they love – and the best audio features around.
‘To ensure Revival remains current, we introduce limited edition colours each year in keeping with colour trends. Choosing a new colour is always a hot debate at the office, with lots of great ideas and varied opinions around the table. So for 2018, we took a new approach.’
The supplier’s design team came up with four new colour options and asked its Facebook community to choose their favourite shade from Charcoal Grey, Sage Green, Midnight Blue and Cornflower Blue.
A total of 2,491 people cast their votes and Midnight Blue was the clear winner, taking 40% of all votes, with Charcoal Grey in runner-up place. Midnight Blue is now heading into production and will hit the shelves later this year.
