Eyes down for Ambiente 2016

From February 12 to 16 2016, German trade show Ambiente in Frankfurt is offering a number of opportunities for businesses to show off their latest designs.

Nicolette Naumann, vice president of Ambiente/Tendence, said: “As the world-leading consumer-goods fair, Ambiente is the ideal platform for exhibiting the latest products. Here businesses can reach out to buyers from the four corners of the earth. We have been investing for years in competitions and product presentations, as they provide our visitors and thereby the international trade with a valuable source of inspiration and guidance, thanks to our exhibitors’ wide range of products and services.”

Up until December 2, Ambiente exhibitors can enter products with exceptional design qualities for the Design Plus competition. The sole entry condition is that products must not have been on the market more than two years before Ambiente 2016. An international panel of experts judges the practical, ecological and technical qualities as well as the overall concept of the design. Apart from a one-off registration fee of €155 +  vat, contestants and winners incur no further costs. The award-winning products will be on show in Galleria 1 between Halls 8 and 9 throughout the five days of the fair. For more information and to obtain the competition entry form, go to: www.ambiente.messefrankfurt.com/design-plus.

Ambiente said that for the last four years, the Solutions special show in the foyer of Hall 4.0 has been a great hit with the public. On display are new products offering ‘clever solutions’ for everyday problems in the kitchen and home. London-based product designer Sebastian Bergne is the curator of Solutions. Ambiente exhibitors have until November 27 to enter their designs. Only products launched within the 12 months prior to the Ambiente 2016 are eligible. There is no charge for taking part in this competition. For further information go to the Ambiente website: www.ambiente.messefrankfurt.com/solutions.

On Sunday February 14, Ambiente exhibitors will have the opportunity to present their latest products to an audience of the world’s press at Speed-Dating@Ambiente. Each company has three minutes to present their particular product in English. In addition to this short presentation, a further two minutes is allowed for questions. The two themes for the Ambiente 2016 programme are: “Ethical style” (sustainable products from companies who have been accepted into the Ambiente Ethical Style Guide) and “Pleasure made easy: new Dining products for table and kitchen”. For more information and applications up until the closing date of January 7, go to www.presse.ambiente @messefrankfurt.com.
