Export funding opportunity for BHETA members

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has become one of 99 UKTI Trade Challenge Partners.

This new status will increase the funding BHETA is able to offer members for shows like Ambiente, as well as upping the number of members that can benefit. It will also bring brand new funding to the table for members wishing to trade with emerging new markets such as Mexico.

UKTI Partners are drawn from trade associations, accredited trade organisations and other membership groups focused on overseas trade, and represent virtually all sectors and industries of the UK economy.

Their remit is to respond to the National Challenge to get more SMEs exporting, maximise the extensive industry knowledge of the Partners to support UK trade overseas and improve planning, practical support and communications.

BHETA’s new status entitles members to get involved in UKTI initiatives such as ExploreExport 2013, which can provide for one-to-one meetings with UKTI commercial officers covering market and industry information, potential contacts and prospective new activity, all tailored to members’ specific requirements.

BHETA’s housewares sector director, William Jones commented: “This is brilliant news for our many exporting members keen to broaden their overseas opportunities. I’m thrilled that UKTI has recognised BHETA specifically and the needs of the housewares market in general.”
