Brooke House Exhibitions, the owner and organiser of co-located trade shows Exclusively Housewares & Exclusively Electrical, has announced more details of a joint initiative with the British Independent Retailers Association (bira).
Bira will have a stand at Exclusively for the first time and several joint marketing activities will be introduced to promote the Shows to bira’s independent retail members.
One highlight is the ‘Bira Bonus’. Bira members that attend the Exclusively Shows will be given a £100 bira bonus voucher that can be used towards an order with a minimum value of £300 (net vat) made with an exhibitor that is a bira Direct supplier.
Meanwhile, new for all retailer visitors in 2018, is the chance to win a ‘Survive and Thrive’ consultation, from the consumer and design trend forecasting consultancy Scarlet Opus.
The winning store will benefit from a review of its layout, decor, product offering, merchandising, website, social media and ‘customer experience’. A member of the Scarlet Opus team will visit the store for a day, at a date agreed with the store, and then offer recommendations for development.
Any independent retail business can enter (but if it operates more than one store, only one store will benefit). Exclusively said: ‘Our only request is for the winner to share the journey of the implementation and the results.’
The Exclusively shows will be held on June 12 and June 13 at the Business Design Centre at Islington in north London.
Launched in 2002, Exclusively Housewares attracts key buyers from all sectors of the housewares market, from specialist cookshops and general homeware and hardware stores to major department stores, garden centres, mail order and internet companies.
Sister show Exclusively Electrical made its debut in 2015 and is aimed specifically at suppliers and retailers of small kitchen and domestic appliances (SKA and SDA).
