Exclusively shows collaborate with HTA

London trade exhibitions Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical are working with the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) to encourage more of its members to attend this year’s shows.

The co-located fairs will run on Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15 at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

HTA chief executive Carol Paris commented, “Many HTA members have seen excellent growth in their housewares and cookshop departments. Exclusively Housewares gives them the opportunity to focus on this key area and see the latest products and trends in the marketplace.”

HTA members will receive a short briefing from the show organiser about the housewares sector and will be able to take a ‘Trend Tour’, led by a team from trend forecaster Scarlet Opus. In addition, they will be invited to attend the event’s industry summer party on the evening of Tuesday, June 14.

Exclusively show director Simon Boyd said: “Garden centre buyers have always attended the show, but we wanted to spread the word about the opportunities for retailing housewares and small domestic appliances (SDA) more widely amongst garden centres. Following a visit to the show last year by Carol Paris, we agreed to collaborate with the association this year to actively encourage their members to attend.”

For 2016, the Exclusively shows are aiming to give buyers a helping hand to search out and recognise on trend products, focused particularly on Christmas 2016 and spring/summer 2017.

Simon concluded: “As two specialist shows, we offer a depth and breadth of brands, products and suppliers that is very attractive to a great mix of retailers for whom housewares and SDA products range from the purely functional right through to ideal gifts. We’re sure that HTA members will benefit from this quick, concentrated look at this product area.”
