The Exclusively Show’s ever-popular Brand Showcase feature, where media and influencers gather to see a curated edit of the highlights from the main show will this year include live potting demonstrations courtesy of Denby.
Denby’s craftsman potter, Sean Flint, will be carrying out the demonstrations, showing off the traditional craft of creating pottery by ‘throwing’ on a potter’s wheel. He will be using local Derbyshire clay which has been used to make Denby’s famous stoneware pottery for over 200 years.
Based at its Derbyshire pottery, Denby’s craftspeople still use many traditional hand-crafting techniques and time-honoured skills with each piece passing through at least twenty pairs of hands before it gets the Denby stamp of approval. Its stoneware is durable enough to allow for collections to be grown over time and beautiful enough to be mixed with existing ranges. The brands versatile ceramic pieces are a conscious interiors choice for a more sustainable lifestyle, both in the kitchen and around the home.
Exclusively’s marketing director, Steve Richardson, said: “The Brand Showcase is always hugely popular, and this amazing opportunity see the skills and craftsmanship which go into Denby products will be an added draw.”
Exclusively regularly has over 140 companies and three hundred brands participating and attracts all the leading UK buyers in the categories it represents. Richardson added: “The Exclusively team is holding a briefing webinar for all exhibitors on 28th February, which will be a really good chance for exhibitors to ensure that all the many opportunities are maximised.”
