Ella excels in book chart

At number one is food blogger Ella Woodward with ‘Deliciously Ella’: Her book contains more than 100 natural, plant-based, dairy-free and gluten-free recipes, including sweet potato brownies, Mexican quinoa bowl, superfood bread, marinated kale salad and key lime pie.

Mary Berry, co-judge of BBC1’s ‘The Great British Bake Off’ series, has moved down to second position with ‘Mary Berry’s Absolute Favourites’. In this official tie-in to Mary’s newest BBC series, she reveals the secrets of her favourite food. Featuring all the recipes from the show, the collection of over 100 dishes also contains Mary’s favourite Christmas recipes from her two 2014 TV specials, ‘Mary Berry’s Absolute Christmas Favourites’.

Meanwhile, two cookbooks are listed in the league of the UK’s top 10 best-selling non-fiction paperback books. At number eight is ‘Davina’s 5 Weeks to Sugar-Free’ by TV presenter Davina McCall. In this title she shares her favourite healthy recipes that have helped her kick the sugar habit and cut out junk food. The book also includes a five-week meal planner that works towards curbing sweet cravings and cutting out all processed foods.

In ninth place is ‘Eat. Nourish. Glow. 10 easy steps for losing weight, looking younger & feeling healthier’ by Amelia Freer. In this, her first book, the nutritional therapist and healthy eating expert explains her 10 steps to holistic health and provides over 25 recipes to get readers started on ‘the path to optimum wellness’.

The book charts are compiled by Nielsen Bookscan TCM, which collates real time sales from over 6,500 retailers representing over 90% of the UK book market. They appeared in the March 29 issue of ‘The Mail On Sunday’s’ ‘Event’ Magazine.
