Dyson opens first British store in London

Dyson opened its first UK shop today (Wednesday, July 6) in central London.

Called Dyson Demo, the store is located opposite department store Selfridges at 447 Oxford Street.

The British technology company, that designs and manufactures vacuum cleaners, fans and hair dryers, claims the shop is ‘the only place in the UK you can get hands-on with all our latest technology, explore what goes on in our top secret engineering labs, and receive advice on how to get the best from your Dyson machine.

‘As our UK flagship, it will be experiential and interactive with a calendar of inspiring traffic-driving events.’

Bookings are now being taken for appointment with Dyson’s in-store stylist for wet or dry styling at The Dyson Hair Salon, for shoppers to ‘experience the difference the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer can make to your hair’.

And throughout August, Dyson will introduce the Dyson Purifier to shoppers. Dyson’s engineers will be hosting in-store learning labs ‘to show the potential dangers of poor indoor air quality, and how Dyson Pure Cool Link purifiers help counter it’.
