Double digit Direct defies downturn

Sales for BHF Group’s Direct Company jumped by over 10% in October, compared to the same month in 2007.
Managing director Paul Woolley ascribed the rise to the strength of the relationships formed between suppliers and retailers through the trade association-owned business.

“This result is outstanding considering the current economic downturn,” he said. “It highlights the benefits that 3,700 member retailers and over 200 suppliers can enjoy when working closely with the Direct Company.”
