A Chinese-made food blender poses a double risk to consumers of electric shock and cuts.

The Simeo branded Blender Chauffant has been withdrawn from the market, and products impounded by the authorities.
Users can get an electric shock from the blender because the pins connecting the goblet to the base can be reached.
There is also a danger of cuts to the fingers and hands because the blades are accessible and it is possible inadvertently to switch them on.
The 1,150 watt blender is black with a silver-coloured goblet. It is type TSK-9372SVP, model number PC 280.
