DKB’s Nick Cornwell returns to UK

DKB Household UK has announced that, following a 12 month stint working with the Swiss parent company’s executive board, Nick Cornwell is returning to the UK to once again manage the DKB Household manual appliances business.

This encompasses the UK and USA companies, together with the global international sales for the Cole & Mason, Zyliss, Jamie Oliver, Culinare and Ken Hom brands.

The move follows a restructuring of the parent company, which sees the DKB Household business split into two parts, each separately responsible to the Diethelm Keller Holding board. The other part of the business, managed in Switzerland, is primarily concerned with barbecues and small electrical appliances.

Commented Nick Cornwell: “This is great news for the company. It shows that our shareholders want a strong focus on the manual appliances brands, and they have announced a clear intention to further invest in and develop this category in the future.

“The UK remains our second biggest market after the USA, and it is therefore extremely important that we are able to respond to the needs of both our consumers and trade customers in this critical marketplace.”

He added: “We have done a great deal of work in the relaunch of our Cole & Mason and Zyliss brands over the last 18 months, and we now have a clear remit to build on this – and our other brands. I’m delighted to get back full-time into the UK, and I’m looking forward to personally making acquaintance again with many of our customers.”
