Celebrating the importance of cooking good food from scratch and raising awareness of how it impacts our health and happiness, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day took place on May 16 in locations around the globe. Food Revolution Day is a campaign by the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation in the UK and the US, and The Good Foundation in Australia. To date, 74 countries have taken part and more than 900 ambassadors are championing the cause worldwide.

DKB Household said that the sessions supported by its range of Jamie Oliver kitchen tools were a great success. One example is The Community House, a local project funded by the Big Lottery. A spokesperson for The Community House said “[Youth group] ‘The Crew’ thoroughly enjoyed preparing their pizza with equipment that was new and that worked, instead of cheap and nasty tools.”

The children at The Community House have created a poster (pictured) for Jamie Oliver by way of thank you as they won’t be able to say it in person – and the team at DKB will be ensuring that it gets to him.

DKB Household’s portfolio of brands includes Cole & Mason, Jamie Oliver, Ken Hom, Zyliss and Culinare.
