If you thought that going to a Tupperware party sounded like a bit of a drag, a show now on at the Edinburgh Festival will leave you in no doubt.
The humble plastic storageware has been temporarily ripped from the safe surroundings of the suburban front room by drag queen Dixie for her very own take on the Tupperware party.
In Dixie’s Tupperware Party our heroine promises “outrageously funny tales, heartfelt accounts, free giveaways…and the most fabulous assortment of Tupperware ever sold on a theatre stage”.
Dixie also guarantees to educate guests “on the many alternative uses she has discovered for her plastic products”.
The show has enjoyed rave reviews in New York and can be seen at the Edinburgh Festival from now until August 31. Best not take Auntie Maude.
