Denby featured on BBC1’s ‘Escape to the Country’

Housewares manufacturer Denby Pottery made an appearance on BBC1 show ‘Escape to the Country’ this week Tuesday June 21) at 2.30 pm.

This long-running daytime series helps prospective buyers find their dream home in the country. In this episode, presenter Nicki Chapman takes a couple that is planning to move to Derbyshire to view three houses which are for sale and match the pair’s wish list.  

While visiting the county, they take a break to learn about Denby Pottery and try their hand at applying handles on mugs and painting in the Denby Craftroom.  

Denby Pottery was an early advocate of tourism in the pottery industry and has been showing the public how its pottery is made since 1952. Today visitors can book either full tours of the pottery or can visit the Craftroom to experience decorating pottery.  Denby Pottery Village also has a Cafe and recently opened a Farm Shop.
