In this cookbook she shares her favourite healthy recipes that have helped her kick the sugar habit and cut out junk food. The book also includes a five-week meal planner that works towards curbing sweet cravings and cutting out all processed foods.

The third bestseller is ‘The Hairy Bikers: Good Eating’ by Dave Myers and Si King. In this third collection of low-calorie recipes, the celebrities share their secrets of ‘good eating and good slimming’ from hearty family favourites and smoothies to snacks and steamed puddings.

At number seven is ‘The Hairy Dieters’ by the same hirsute pair, who have lost almost 6 stone between them. This diet book comprises recipes that are described as low in calories and big on flavour.

‘The Fast Diet’ by Michael Mosley and Mimi Spencer holds eighth position. This book offers a new approach to weight loss: you eat normally five days a week, then for two days you cut your calories (500 for women, 600 for men). Medical journalist Dr Michael Mosley presents the science behind the diet while award-winning food and fashion writer Mimi Spencer explains the practicalities of how to go about it. ‘The Fast Diet’ also includes a calorie counter and a section of menu plans.

The bestsellers list is compiled by Nielsen Bookscan TCM, which collates real time sales from over 6,500 retailers representing over 90% of the UK book market. It appeared in the January 25 issue of ‘The Mail on Sunday’s’ ‘Event’ Magazine.
