Housewares veteran David Peace has joined Imperial International as director of export sales.
A former president of BHETA and Meyer board member, Peace brings with him a wealth of experience in the housewares business and overseas markets, having run his own export consultancy for the past five years.
During his time at Meyer, where he was part of the original team, Peace helped the company achieve the number one supplier position, and for the last eight years he has been helping grow the company’s export business globally. Prior to Meyer, his career included five years at House of Fraser and then a further five years with Electrolux.
Imperial’s managing and design director, Mo B’ham, said: “Export is now a key growth area for us, and I’m confident that David will help us match our current UK growth with equally strong sales in overseas markets.”
Before working in the housewares industry, Peace had a successful career as a professional musician. He is also a director of Cranfield University.
