David Mason Design collaborates with Ashley Thomas

David Mason Design (DMD) has announced a collaboration with designer Ashley Thomas.

The housewares company said: ‘Working in partnership with Ashley, we have created the first phase of the launch of the Ashley Thomas Brand for DMD, scheduled for Spring 2020, with an extensive collection covering bakeware, teatime accessories and giftware.

‘Combining the strength of DMD’s product sourcing team and design capabilities and Ashley’s signature style, the Spring range demonstrates a variety of production techniques and shapes, creating a unique style for the home.

‘Ashley’s collections are feminine and quirky, with the ethos of making a house a home. Whether it’s updating your kitchenware ready for family gatherings, adding personality to your home with quirky accessories or making your home welcoming with sweet sentiments and sayings, her signature style co-ordinates colourful mix and match, vintage-inspired designs and conversational scenes, to achieve a playful and completely unique look.’

Ashley graduated with a first class degree in surface pattern design from Staffordshire University in 2007. Shortly afterwards she was employed by DMD as a designer. She then worked on a freelance basis for various greetings cards companies and was commissioned by retailers including Laura Ashley and Mamas & Papas.

She joined the ‘Designers at Debenhams’ family in 2011. According to DMD, her collaboration with Debenhams ‘grew from strength to strength, with the At Home with Ashley Thomas range being launched in 2012 and becoming its best-selling homeware collection’.
