‘My Kitchen Rules UK’ hits the small screen on Monday (October 3) and airs weekdays at 5pm on Channel 4.
This new competitive cooking series is hosted by two-time Michelin Star restaurateur and chef Michael Caines, and author and cookery writer Prue Leith.
They will be joining forces to judge 16 pairs of amateur cooks who open their own restaurant at home for one night, in a bid to scoop the £10,000 prize.

The competition kicks off in the contestants’ own kitchens. The pairs cook a three-course restaurant standard meal against the clock for their rival teams and the judges to critique and score. Dishes served late will have points taken off.’
At the end of each weekly regional heat, the action moves to Kitchen HQ. The highest scoring team of the region wins immunity and goes through to the next leg, while the middle ranking teams cook off against each other. But the lowest scoring team from each region will be eliminated.
With the eight remaining teams in the competition, the cooking challenges intensify at Kitchen HQ. But only the best team can walk away with the prize money and say ‘My Kitchen Rules’.
