Currys PC World predicts its Christmas housewares best sellers

Currys PC World has predicted which products will be behind the ‘24 doors’ of its advent calendar of best sellers this Christmas.

While connected devices make up over half of the products expected to fly off the festive shelves, kitchen appliances are forecast to be popular, with a quarter of the 24 top spots taken up by coffee machines, blenders and baking accessories, along with audio devices and large screen TVs.

‘The nation remains obsessed with all things kitchen this festive season,’ according to the specialist electrical and telecommunications retailer. ‘From baking along with The Great British Bake Off’ to clean eating and courgetti spaghetti, the top 24 is filled with kitchen gadgets designed to impress your party guests.’

Currys PC World’s top six housewares predictions are:

The chain said: ‘Connected gadgets are expected to be a huge hit this Christmas, with everything from fitness trackers and smart watches to connected coffee machines and smart toys making the top 24 list.

‘KitchenAid’s Artisan Stand Mixer continues on from its success last Christmas and takes a top spot once again, sweeping in at second place. In a variety of colours – pastel and bright – this can turn any budding baker into a seasoned pro and transform kitchen counters.
