Currys PC World launches Black Friday deals for Easter

Currys PC World has announced the launch of its ‘best-ever’ Easter deals event – set to rival its annual Black Friday offering.

The electrical retailer is offering thousands of deals on key products, both in-store and online, with hundreds of products at their Black Friday price tags or lower.

The Easter bargains, available from a four-week period from April 5 or until stock lasts, feature products from brands including Samsung, Hotpoint, Canon, LG, HP, Dyson and Bosch across a variety of categories, covering small electricals, TVs, large domestic appliances, computers, cameras, sound systems and more.

Examples include the Morphy Richards health fryer in black at £69 (was £149.99 – a saving of 54%) and the De’Longhi Ecam 23.420 bean-to-cup coffee machine in silver, black and white at £341 (was £449.99 – a saving of 24%).l

The Easter event comes off the back of the retailer’s ‘UK’s Lowest Price’ campaign: a guarantee to be the UK’s lowest price on at least one key big-brand product each week in the run-up to Easter.

Currys PC World is also offering a Price Promise initiative, which guarantees to match or beat the price consumers would pay at AO.com, Argos, Asda, John Lewis and Tesco.

Steve Ager, group commercial director of Dixons Carphone, commented: “We know Easter is a key time for our customers to give their homes a tech upgrade, and as the UK’s largest electrical retailer we’re committed to offering shoppers value on the products they love, whatever their budget.

“Black Friday continues to be synonymous with unbeatable prices so we’re delighted to be bringing customers similar, and in some cases better, deals this Easter.”

Last Easter, the retailer saw a 21% increase in visitor numbers to the website, with Easter Monday proving a particularly busy shopping day.

Shoppers snapped up washing machines, kettles, toasters and laptops, all of which benefitted from a 65% increase in sales compared to the previous year (2015).
