Countdown to The Housewares Show

The Housewares Show will focus on showcasing the latest developments in eco-friendly housewares, as it opens its doors once again next month to key buyers from independent retailers across the UK.

Hosted by independent buying group AIS (Associated Independent Stores), the event will be open to AIS members only on August 13 and then open to all independent buyers on August 14. It will take place in the showroom of AIS’ Cranmore Park Exhibitor Centre at Solihull in the West Midlands.

With product categories including Cookshop, Tabletop, SDA, Home Fragrance, Glassware and Home Gifts, the show will exhibit products from an extensive brand list.

Dedicated trend areas scattered across the showroom will highlight key themes which have influenced this season’s product selection including sustainable and eco-friendly products.

AIS homewares controller Deborah Goulthorpe commented: “Consumers are looking for more eco-friendly items and many of our key suppliers have not disappointed with their ranges.”

This year, the offering will include new brand Smidge’s selection of reusable bottles, coffee cups, wood fibre chopping boards and silicone lids, along with Eddingtons’ If You Care range.

New suppliers to the show include PHA KitchEssentials, Princess and The Art Group.
