Cookshops to get cooking at Independents’ Day

Cookshop owners nationwide are rolling up their sleeves in anticipation of next Monday’s Cookshop & Housewares Association’s Independents’ Day, when they will face a hands-on cooking challenge.

Cookshops to get cooking at Independents' Day

The Great British Cookshop Challenge takes place at Eckington Manor Cookery School in Worcestershire, with a menu of activities designed to offer an opportunity to learn new product-related skills with real food in a real kitchen.

Involving sausages, pies, preserves, canapés and cupcakes, the day will provide insider knowledge of products and cooking tips which can be passed on to staff and customers.

Retailers will also get a chance to network with leading suppliers in the cookshop and housewares industry.
