Following months of development work, Lakeland has announced the forthcoming launch of its new and exclusive Davina for Lakeland spiralizers, designed in collaboration with health and fitness enthusiast Davina McCall.
The 69-strong housewares chain said it ‘has gone to great lengths’ with the TV star ‘to incorporate consumer feedback and the latest product innovation to create the next generation of spiralizers’.
First to launch will be Lakeland’s new Hand-Held Spiralizer which retails at £11.99. It comes with a ratchet mechanism which, Lakeland says, makes it easy to use, and there is less waste as it leaves no central core. The product, which is designed to produces spaghetti spirals, is a compact size for storage and comes apart for easier cleaning
Hot on the heels of the Hand-Held Spiralizer will be ‘the newest development in worktop spiralizing’. From the same range, this spiralizer will encompass all of the same features to create ‘a spiralizer that’s smaller than current worktop models, easier to use, easier to store, creates zero waste and disassembles for easy cleaning’.
Commenting on the new developments, Davina said: “I love to cook healthy, tasty meals for my family, and having the right tools for the job is a huge part of being able to do that. We’ve been working really hard to be able to bring the very best spiralizers to the market and I’m so excited to have done just that.”
A Lakeland spokesman added: ‘Following the incredible success of our Davina for Lakeland range, and the continued popularity of spiralizing, we’ve been on a mission to develop the perfect spiralizers.
“We’re extremely excited to be announcing these newest additions to the range. We think they work brilliantly and really are the next generation of spiralizers.”
The Davina for Lakeland range currently comprises seven kitchen prep products: a personal blender, crinkle cutter, kitchen scissors, grater, Y-shaped peeler, paring knife and garlic press.
