Cole & Mason celebrates centenary

Cole & Mason, the British mills and seasoning brand which is part of the DKB Household group, celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2019 with a host of new product development. This includes the launch of the Precision+ grinding mechanism, which promises to deliver Cole & Mason’s “best pepper grinder ever”.

The year-long celebratory push will kick off in February at Spring Fair (Hall 9, Stand C44/D45) and at Ambiente in Frankfurt (Hall 1.2 Stand J50) and will sit alongside new product from DKB Household’s flagship brands Zyliss, Jamie Oliver and Ken Hom. All packaging will carry the new ‘1919-2019’ Cole & Mason logo.

Commenting on the anniversary, Joe Brawn, brand lead at Cole & Mason, said: “Cole & Mason as a brand has always been synonymous with British design and style and to have made it to 100 years is really something we’re extremely proud of.

“We wanted to mark the occasion with a significant product development and we believe we have that with Precision+.”

The aim of Precision+ is to release more pepper per turn, resulting in ‘unparalleled taste and a superior flavour’. This is achieved by an enhanced mechanism which means fewer blockages and a more consistent performance.

The new Precision+ will appear on several new collections for the Spring and will be rolled out across the Cole & Mason Precision range in the coming months.

“These will be future classics,” said Joe, “and we will also have a special gift set of the traditional-style Knightsbridge stainless steel mill, dual branded with Cole & Mason and ‘100’. This is named after one of our original ‘Peter Piper’ mills, which was manufactured by Park Green & Co in Knightsbridge.”
