A record number of over 1.3m Christmas brochures and leaflets has been ordered by Home Hardware retailers this year.
The dealer-owned group says the demand reflects the fact that “there has never been a more important time for retailers to promote themselves”.
Home Hardware’s Christmas at Home 20-page brochure features everything from kitchenware, small electricals, cookware and tableware to games, bird-care products, tools and fireside products. To encourage greater customer spend, it also has a double-page spread of three-for-two offers – always successful in encouraging customers to start their Christmas shopping early, according to the group.
Demand for Home Hardware’s Christmas four- and eight-page leaflets has also seen an increase, with print runs over 250,000.
Home Hardware marketing manager Beverley Wood said: “I’m delighted we’ve attracted new retailers and they have chosen to invest in Royal Mail’s door-to-door distribution, which we organise for them at very competitive rates. Our promotions significantly increase customer footfall and retail sales.
“There has never been a more important time for retailers to promote themselves as consumers are looking for greater reasons to buy”.
