Housewares supplier Charles Viancin has reported ‘great success’ this summer by supporting some of its retailers at various festivals around the country.
UK development director Peter Battersby said: “We have sold hundreds of [Charles Viancin silicone] lids at events like the Royal Cornwall Show, the Dartington Food Festival and Flavourfest in Plymouth”.
Another event attended by Charles Viancin was the Lichfield Food Festival. Held on the weekend of Saturday 30 August and Sunday 31 August, the Festival is described as ‘an annual celebration of all things gastronomic’. Now in its third year, the event attracted more than 6,000 visitors in 2013. It features free cookery demonstrations by local and regional chefs, plus the specialist Lichfield Food Festival Market.
Charles Viancin supported local customer The Kitchen Shop on Lichfield’s Market Street, who hosted a series of demonstrators in the cookshop’s window, including QVC and Ideal World TV presenter Malcolm Harradine, seen pictured with Charles Viancin Lily Pad Lids.
The Kitchen Shop also organised kitchen equipment demonstrations of popular brands at nearby The George Hotel over both days. Many of The Kitchen Shop’s key suppliers, such as KitchenAid, Joseph Joseph, Netherton Foundry, J.A. Zwilling Henckels knives, Kuhn Rikon, Moonshine, CellarDine, I.O.Shen Knives and Sodastream, demonstrated products.
