Charity cook-off is a Christmas cracker

Thanks go to Creative Tops, Premier Housewares and Horwood for contributing such great products as prizes in the in-house festive charity cook-off organised by and Housewares Magazine.

Charity cook-off is a Christmas cracker

The event raised £111 for Asthma UK from staff at the titles’ publisher Faversham House Group, who paid handsomely to sample the cracking Christmas fare cooked by colleagues who had entered the competition.

In the event it was our resident cook extraordinaire Chris Carnevale who scooped first prize with his exceptional Christmas pudding. The judges’ verdict: “This has saved Christmas!”

Not content with that, Chris went on to take second prize too with his tantalising mulled pears – “outstanding”, the judges thought. And coming in a very close third place was Tara Lovegrove with her delicious mulled wine, which was judged to be “pure luxury”.
