Cath Kidston adds three stores

Specialist homeware and fashion retailer Cath Kidston is continuing its expansion across the UK, with the opening of three new stores in Chester, Meadowhall and Nottingham.

The Chester store (2,160sq ft), formerly occupied by All Saints, opened on Eastgate Street on June 14. The Meadowhall store (2,324 sq ft), opens this month in Sheffield’s leading shopping centre, and Nottingham follows in August. This 2,051sq ft branch is in a prime location in the main city centre on Bridlesmithgate.

The new outlets follow recent openings for Cath Kidston in Jersey, Aberdeen, Belfast and Bournemouth, as part of a store expansion drive throughout the UK, according to CB Richard Ellis (CBRE).

Cath Kidston opened its first shop in 1993, and now occupies 50-plus shops and concessions in the UK and Ireland and more than 25 shops in Asia. Commercial property adviser CBRE is retained to act on Cath Kidston’s behalf, acquiring sites throughout the UK and advising on the retailer’s ongoing expansion.
