Casswells wins Gold in Olympic window dressing contest

The first prize of £100 worth of Home Hardware vouchers was awarded to Andrew Edwards from Casswells Home Hardware in Midsomer Norton. Second prize of £50 worth of vouchers was scooped by Graham Webb from Webbs Home & Garden, in the East Sussex town of Battle.

All Home Hardware retailers were invited to participate in the contest and “the overall standard of entry was exceptionally high,” the buying group said. The competition was judged by an independent panel, who took into account window content, layout, use of props and overall interest for the consumer.

Home Hardware marketing manager Beverley Wood said: “Casswells Home Hardware has made an Olympian effort with their window displays. The competition has allowed retailers to have creative fun in the run-up to the big event.”

Andrew Edwards from Casswells Home Hardware added: “After being runner-up in Home Hardware’s Jubilee window dressing competition, we’re thrilled to have been awarded first place this time. I have my staff’s enthusiasm to thank for this; I’d like to give a special thank you to my wife Caroline, who worked exceptionally hard to create the display.”
