All-American Licensing & Management Group and Innovative Media Productions have signed US celebrity Carly Simon for licensing and endorsements.
The award-winning singer and songwriter will launch ‘ANTICIPATION by Carly Simon’, a lifestyle brand inspired by Carly’s career and her Martha’s Vineyard estate. The series of products includes exotic teas/beverages, fragrances, jewellery and a collection of home décor, furniture and accessories.
Carly Simon said: “In addition to my music, one of my greatest passions has been to create a magical home and life on Martha’s Vineyard. Creating this new brand is like bottling the magical moments in my life on the Vineyard and translating that into beautiful new product lines that I hope will provide the lives of others with inspiration and a sense of wonder.”
Carly Simon won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1971 for her debut album, Carly Simon which featured the breakthrough hit, ‘That’s the Way I’ve Always Heard it Should Be’. In 1971, she released her second album, ‘Anticipation,’ celebrating another Top 10 hit with the album’s title track and winning the Grammy for Best New Artist. One year later, Simon experienced her biggest success with the album ‘No Secrets,’ which included the number one single, ‘You’re So Vain’. The album sold millions of copies worldwide, occupied the number one spot on the charts for six consecutive weeks and earned Grammy nominations in six categories. Other hits include ‘Nobody Does It Better,’, ‘Coming Around Again,’ and ‘Let the River Run,’ which was featured on the soundtrack from the movie, ‘Working Girl’. In 2012, she was inducted into the songwriter Hall of Fame.
Meanwhile entertainment icon Donny Osmond and his wife Debbie are set to launch their own line of US home furnishings produced in partnership with Clique Here Inc., according to US reports.
The brand will launch globally in product categories including kitchenware, tableware, bedding and bath, home furnishings and décor, flooring and rugs, textiles, lighting and outdoor living in the last quarter of 2013.
