A new HomeSense store opens in Cambridge today – the eighth in the chain that is a sister format to TK Maxx.
The store sells kitchenware and tabletop lines alongside home accessories and, like TK Maxx, concentrates on brands offered at up to 60% below recommended retail price.
The new HomeSense outlet, which has created 35 jobs, is in the Beehive Centre, where TK Maxx itself has a store. Today’s opening was preceded yesterday by a shopper preview evening.
Both TK Maxx and HomeSense, which is a major player in Canada, are part of TJX Companies, which plans to open around 150 HomeSense stores in the UK.
