This time next week Cake International in Manchester will be in full swing.
After a successful launch last year, the sugarcraft, cake decorating and baking show will return to EventCity from March 7-9. Set to attract cake enthusiasts, renowned industry experts and professional cake decorators and sugarcrafters from across the globe, it boasts the north-west’s largest display of competition pieces, plus a range of supplies, workshops and demonstrations.
Celebrated cookery book author and star of TV’s ‘The Great British Bake Off’ Mary Berry will be making an appearance on the Friday and the Saturday of the show, while Mich Turner will be there throughout, taking to the stage in the Cake International Theatre, and meeting and greeting fans.
This year sees a new feature – the Authors’ Kitchen – where best-selling cake authors demonstrate recipes from their favourite books, and share their professional advice and inspiration. Authors taking part include Lindy Smith, Carol Deacon, Alan Dunn, Alyson Reynolds, Ann Parker and Christina Georgiou. They will be sharing their top techniques, and there will be a chance to buy their books and get them signed.
