Brutons Home Hardware wins Home Hardware’s Christmas window contest

Brutons Home Hardware has won this year’s Christmas Window Dressing Competition, organised by Home Hardware Southwest.

The family-run business, which offers a huge range of items for the home and garden, has been trading in the Gloucestershire town of Nailsworth since 1856.

Coulsdon Home Hardware in Surrey received the runner-up prize. Also a family-run business, it has been serving the local community in and around Croydon since 1954.

With three generations involved, it has developed from a traditional hardware shop into a retailer offering bespoke kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms alongside hardware products.

Home Hardware Southwest is the largest voluntary organisation of its kind in the UK for independently-owned hardware and DIY stores.

The body said all Home Hardware retailers were invited to take part in the competition and the overall standard of entry was exceptionally high. The contest was judged by an independent panel.

Home Hardware would like to thank all members who participated.
