Brabantia has launched a new ironing table cover design competition, open to anyone from professional designers to those who just think they can do better than what is currently on the market.
The overall international winner will receive £2,500 worth of Brabantia products and a top-of-the-range ironing table featuring their own cover design. In addition, their design will go into production and be put on sale for a year.
There will also be 15 UK prize winners, who will receive up to £1,000 worth of Brabantia products.
The company says it hopes the competition will elicit a surprising and fresh insight to cover design.
Entrants should go to ironinstyle.co.uk, where they can start designing by using the easy-to-use photo manipulation program Picnik.
The more experienced can give their imagination free rein by using PhotoShop, GIMP, Microsoft Paint or any other graphic design program, and uploading the result via the website.
The competition runs until April 30 2009.
