Bounce back for retail events – Home & Gift Harrogate

The countdown to 2022’s Home & Gift Harrogate is well and truly on, with just under three weeks to go! Visitors, exhibitors and buyers alike have high expectations for this next event after the roaring success of last year’s show, which marked the very first post-COVID event hosted in Harrogate.

The 2021 show was part of a limited number of pilot events in the third phase of the Government Events Research Programme, trialling the easing of previously enforced restrictions as we moved to reintroduce larger events post-lockdown. With restrictions on visitor number and social distancing requirements no longer applying, the event was able go ahead as normal, providing a welcome change after a long 18-month break in industry events and large-scale trade.

Based on the volume of attendees, there was a clear appetite and enthusiasm for an in-person buying and selling event as visitor numbers remained strong and the quality of buyers was on par with previous editions of the show pre-COVID. The visitor sentiment at the event was also optimistic as retailers enjoyed meeting suppliers and doing face-to-face business once again.

One year on and Home & Gift Harrogate promises to be bigger and better than ever. Renowned for its perfect timing, summer setting and advanced networking opportunities, it’s no wonder Home & Gift is one of the industry’s most loved events. Not only is it the perfect time to secure orders in time for Christmas, the most important retail season of the year, but it’s also the place to be when launching new products to make genuine, meaningful connections that matter.
