The British Independent Retailers Association (bira) is set to tour the UK over the next three months offering free advice and support to independent retailers.
Evening roadshow events will be held in 10 towns – Shrewsbury, Bath, Leamington Spa, Harrogate, Aberdeen, Tunbridge Wells, Leek, Perth, Cheltenham and Colchester – between August 20 and October 8.
Bira said the roadshows have been launched ‘in direct response to the need for greater support for the UK’s network of independent retailers: the lifeblood of our Great British High Street. We’re taking to the road to spread the word of what is already available to independent retailers on joining bira.’
The association hopes the events will help local independent retail owners to network with other local businesses, as well as give them the opportunity to learn more about how bira’s specialist service providers could save their businesses valuable time and money.
The awareness and support campaign is part of a renewed approach to membership communications and a drive to support a greater percentage of the UK’s 275,000 independent retailers.
