BHS.com launches housewares range this week

BHS.com will launch its kitchen and dining ranges on Friday (October 14).

The former department store group BHS relaunched in the UK as an online retailer on September 29, with 500 options across lighting, bedroom and bathroom categories.

The website has now released its first Christmas range with textiles including bed linen, cushions, throws, decorative accessories, lanterns and candle holders.

The second of its two Christmas ranges will be available from October 21 and include Christmas hampers, gifts and home fragrances, followed by fashion items (women, men and childrenswear) on October 28.

BHS International (UK) managing director David Anderson said: “We have had a great response to our relaunch in September and I’m really excited to now be rolling out the first of our Christmas ranges as we promised.

“Our famous Christmas hampers will be coming soon and until then, customers will be offered a fantastic range of textile products, on top of our former best sellers currently on offer.

“As we continue to roll out new product ranges and ramp up our marketing activity, we are confident that we can build further on our early success.”

In June, the Al Mana Group created BHS International (UK) Limited, which acquired BHS.com, the international franchise business, and the BHS brand.

The Al Mana Group operates in a number of sectors including retail, automotive, real estate, media and technology. It represents a range of high profile brands including Zara, Mango, Armani Exchange, United Colors of Benetton and Reebok.

The new BHS, which is headquartered in London, has 84 employees – the vast majority of who worked for the retailer before it went into administration in April. Its call centre is based in Glasgow and run by Ascenos.
