BHETA’s retailer networking webinar with Lakeland on January 19 provided members with a real insight into the retailers current trading and future plans, as well as an introduction to five key members of the buying team.
The webinar featured Philippa Simons, head of buying, with an update on Lakeland trading during 2022 and its strong start in 2023, the success of its ‘Spend Smart; Live Well’’ consumer strategy, and how the company had dealt with the combined pressures of cost, supply and compliance over the last 12 months.
Members of the Lakeland buying team, Carly Bullock – Cleaning, Laundry & Home, Leanne Murphy – Baking, Kathryn Farrell – Cooking, and Rebecca Murphy – Seasonal then covered off changing consumer shopping habits, the MyLakeland loyalty scheme which has two million members, innovation, and digital strategy.
