BHETA to hold open webinar with Ebay

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) is to host an industry-wide webinar with leading online marketplace, eBay on 27th January. As a kick-off to the New Year BHETA webinar programme, and to reflect the platform’s focus on expanding its DIY and garden presence, the event will be open to BHETA members and non-members alike.

eBay will be represented by category manager for home and garden, Rosalind Bridges and the agenda will include:

• eBay background and trading strategy
• Why sell on eBay?
• A tour of the eBay site
• eBay’s best match algorithm and marketing tools
• How to get on board
Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions direct to Rosalind.

eBay Inc was founded in 1995 in San Jose, California and now facilitates consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer sales through its multinational website. It is actively seeking more DIY and garden sellers alongside housewares and small domestic electricals suppliers.

Commenting on the event, BHETA’s marketing manager, Steve Richardson said, “BHETA members have now benefitted from a number of very successful events with eBay. Given the January timing and eBay’s DIY and garden agenda, it seemed like a great idea to open this event to all industry suppliers regardless of whether they are current BHETA members or not. I urge everyone interested in exploring the opportunities provided by eBay to register as soon as possible.”

BHETA’s chief operating officer, Will Jones added: “eBay is an iconic retail brand with a very successful platform for new home enhancement products which it is keen to expand. If BHETA can be of help with an event like this then that is good for eBay, good for members and good for suppliers in the industry at large.”
