The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) is to host a Meet The Buyer day with out-of-town homeware chain Dunelm.
The event will take place on Wednesday November 30 at College Court Conference and Hotel in Leicester.
Dunelm said it is particularly looking to engage with new or existing suppliers who are able to demonstrate new and innovative products and offer strong promotional activity for immediate consideration.
The specialist retailer operates more than 140 stores throughout the UK and in Northern Ireland with more planned. Suppliers are encouraged to review the Dunelm website and visit one of the following Dunelm stores to identify opportunities: Nottingham, Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Redditch, Weston-Super-Mare and Rustington.
Dunelm’s brief is aimed at all sizes of supplier, from large players to smaller companies with limited resources, which have a great idea or product.
A senior and /or assistant buyer representation for Dunelm’s core product categories will attend on the day.
Participating suppliers will be allocated a 20-minute appointment with the relevant buyers. A maximum of two people from each company will be allowed and suppliers are urged to use the time to simply focus on their products.
BHETA director Will Jones explained, “This is a unique opportunity for existing and potential suppliers and as such, is sure to attract a big response. There will also be a limit to the number of people that can be accommodated on the day.
“We will, of course, do our upmost to allocate times to all interested members. But it may be necessary to select participants by lottery, with a view to securing a further event to accommodate the unsuccessful parties as early as possible.
“This event provides a valuable chance for all companies, large or small, to meet and talk to a knowledgeable and receptive team hungry for new ideas and products. We are delighted to be working with Dunelm.”
