The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) is to hold the next event in its extremely successful ‘Meet The Buyer’ series – this time featuring one of the leading garden centre retailers: The Garden Centre Group.
The event, which is open to BHETA members and non-members by application, will l take place on Friday May 23, at the Holiday Inn in Brentford, Middlesex.The day provides an opportunity for all companies – large or small – to meet and talk to a knowledgeable and receptive team of buyers hungry for new ideas and products.
Participating companies will be allocated a 20 minute appointment time with pre-agreed relevant buyers. BHETA said: “The buying team are keen to meet new potential suppliers as well as existing suppliers who have something new and innovative to present.
“The three main product sectors are participating – Horticulture, Gardening and Home. All the main product categories will be represented on the day and we anticipate seven or eight buyers being present although we are unable to confirm names at this stage.
“The key factors underpinning the Garden Centre Group’s strategy are availability, attachment/cross selling, right price/best promotion, inspirational visual appeal and range (new/exclusive/local/own label).
“With 140 garden centres across the UK, and a new team driving the business forward, we anticipate this being a very popular event and would advise companies to book early to ensure that they get the appointment/s that they want.”
The Garden Centre Group follows in the footsteps of past participants Lakeland, Homebase, Robert Dyas, John Lewis and Screwfix.
